1- where did you meet your husband?
Aaron and i met before we even dated. My brother brought home two of his friends for mother's day and of course Aaron was one of them. So it was at my home in california.
2- what was the first thing you said to your husband?
Well Aaron was the one who rang the door bell and i was the one who opened the door, so i probably said something like hi, with a smile, come in! =)
3- where was your first date?
3- where was your first date?
Our dating story started last summer while we both worked for pinnacle but we were just friends at first and then we started to go out to eat and hang out but it wasnt anything official so then we finally made an official date and pretended like we didnt know each other so it felt like a real first date. lol. Aaron had rose petals on the floor of the apartment and he gave me a single stemmed rose. so pretty! He had two dinners from applebees ready and we ate dinner together and asked each other all the basics we already knew just so that it would feel like an official first date since we didnt really have one. then we watched a movie and aaron had fruit and chocolate for dessert, what a stud! ;)
4- where was your first kiss?
Our first kiss was actually at the apartments, which doesnt sound very romantic but to tell you truth at the moment it didnt hit me where we were or what was around because the kiss was just perfect and the feeling we both felt at that moment was perfect! i couldnt have asked for a better first kiss ♥ 5- How long did you date for?
We dated for about 7 months. We really started dating towards the end of the summer and then i went with him and my brother to rexburg, idaho where we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend! gotta be careful from the girls up there! ;) We continued dating for the semester and talked about marriage and made sure it was the right thing for the both of us and then he proposed on christmas. yay!
6- where did you get engaged?
We got engaged in utah, aaron said he wanted go out and get some food for everybody so we went and on the way to get food, aaron took a detour saying he wanted to show me where a good place would be to take bridals for our future wedding which wasnt official yet. lol. So he took me to this castle looking theatre in provo which was beautiful at night and you can overlook the city, it was so pretty and there was snow everywhere so that made even better. lol. Then he pulled a fast one on me and proposed! lol. The whole proposol is actually kind of long because it started with the twelve days of christmas that aaron had been planning. so twelve days before christmas he started each day with a special activity that night and then a gift and that whole day had a meaning to our marriage which he made as the twelve foundations of our marriage. I had absolutely no idea about this whole thing which was soo funny and i had no idea he had the ring already for about month. How could he have held it for that long? i totally would have cracked. lol. but aaron is definitely the planner and hes very special. i really appreicated all he did for the proposol, it was perfect!7- when and where were you married?
We were married on April 10, 2008, at the salt lake city temple. the best day of my life! It was truly a special and sacred day at the temple. Our sealing was at 5 in the evening and on a thursday so it was definitely out of the ordinary but it was perfect. We had the place all to our ourselves, it was so nice. It was definitely cold still in April but at least i wasnt getting married on a day where i would be sweating like crazy in my dress. lol. the timing of the light seemed to be perfect for the pictures, i think they turned out better because it was later in evening. I was definitely worried before that day about how the pictures would turn out so late. but it went well.
8- how did the reception go?
The receptions were both so much fun. We had a traditional assyrian wedding reception in turlock, california which was pretty much all day long and all night long but it was a blast! If your curious to know what an assyrian reception is like, just watch my big fat greek wedding and its pretty much exaclty the same! lol. We also had a reception in lehi, utah. I got to meet more friends and family from aaron's side and everything was just perfect! I really have to thank everybody from both sides of the family for all their hard work because i know it was stressful and crazy but everything was honestly perfect and beautiful and im so glad we got to share that with all who were there. we love you all and thank you for all your help and support!
9- how was the honeymoon?
Aaron and i could honestly say that everything about our honeymoon was absolutely perfect! we just had a blast! We went for just the right amount of days, we got to see everything and do everything we wanted. It was absolutely beautiful. we went to hawaii and thank you to aaron's dad giving us free miles and to my aunt for letting us use her timeshare. That was definitely a big help and made our hawaii honeymoon possible. we went all over the island, we hiked, saw waterfalls, snorkeled, went to a luau, swam in the ocean, visited the temple, saw the volcano, rainforests, caves, & pretty much walked everywhere in our bathing suits. lol. it was so much fun!
10- TAG! I tag the sista-in-laws- melissa, stacy, ashley, jen, and lori- lets hear your stories girls! and thanx kristen for the idea, it was a lot of fun!
